Maximum Security Video Booth

Increase out of cell time. Limit transport. Improve safety & security.

The Maximum Security Video Booth is a secure, enclosed structure that can be used as a designated area for video conferencing for offenders in maximum security prisons. The detention-grade MSVB unit comes equipped with a bench, optional desk integration, hardware-agnostic video mount and chase, LED lighting and a cuff port in the door. Acoustic paneling is integrated to facilitate confidential offender communications and visibility windows allow for multiple offenders to be supervised by a single correctional officer. The ceiling is made of heavy-duty security caging for HVAC and fire suppression access without the need for difficult mechanical system adjustments.

The MSVB is an ideal solution to reduce the number of inmates leaving the facility for in-person court appearances and allows inmates to remain connected to their family, legal team and medical personnel in a safe way. This saves time and resources that would normally be required for an off-site visit, like personnel and transportation, but still increases inmate out of cell time. The Maximum Security Video Booth may qualify for Federal CARES Act benefits and other various grants.

The COVID-19 pandemic spurred correctional systems worldwide to replace in-person visitation, legal counsel, judicial arraignment and some health care consultation with video conferencing. What they discovered in the process is that not only is video visitation an effective pandemic mitigation strategy, but it saves significant public funds by reducing offender transport. Correctional customers globally are implementing permanent video conferencing systems and the Maximum Security Video Booth is an ideal solution for those systems.
