Tate’s Plank Hardwood panels are made with a 15/32” (12mm) engineered hardwood in plank strip design. The panel consists of 6” wide planks available in multiple species. The surface of the hardwood is pre-finished at the factory with 8 coats of low gloss Wearmax XT Aluminum Oxide finish that is easy to maintain. The finish is offered in a variety of stains. Plank wood is available in 4 species including: White Oak, Red Oak, Hickory and Maple.

Key Performance Characteristics

  • Wood plank on Composite board panels feature a protective edge banding while on Concore panels there is a monolithic edge 
  • All Wood plank laminated panels are supported by a bolted stringer system
  • Finished floor heights from 4” and up

Wood Panels

Tate’s Plank Hardwood standard finishes are factory laminated to Composite Board panels with an E-coated steel bottom sheet for additional strength and protective edge band, or ConCore panels with a monolithic edge. Both systems are supported by bolted stringer systems.

Plank Wood

Tate’s plank wood species and color options can be viewed using the below link. Tate’s plank design consists of 1⁄8” thick hardwood laminated to a 11/32” backer board, for an overall thickness of 15⁄32”. The surface is comprised of 6” wide by 24” long planks, coated with a low gloss Aluminum Oxide finish. To view the full range of species and stain option available, click here.
